Yes, our programs are free! There’s no cost to sign up for any Shelters United program. If you are an animal welfare organization, no matter how large or small, you can participate. 

Our Vet Supplies Savings Program is a cooperative buying program (also called a Group Purchasing Organization or GPO) that leverages the collective purchasing power of organizations to get group discounts from suppliers and distributors. Our program is the first and only GPO exclusively for nonprofit and municipal animal welfare organizations. 

All you need to do is complete the distributor application to participate! 

The Shelters United Marketplace is an exclusive online platform where animal welfare organizations can shop for a wide range of discounted pet supplies, including food, pest prevention, health and wellness products, and enrichment items. It’s designed to be a one-stop shop for all essential products your organization needs. 

The Veterinarian of Record (VOR) Program provides resources, guidance, and an online course for building partnerships with veterinarians. These partnerships help shelters and rescues improve animal health, enhance visitor experiences, and streamline operations. 

The Shelters United Pharmacy is an online pharmacy offering pet adopters and pet parents affordable access to essential medications. It’s also mission-driven, with a portion of each purchase supporting local animal welfare organizations. 

None! Our programs are free to join, and you will not be asked for a subscription or membership fee. 

We also don’t require minimum program purchases and there is no requirement to purchase specific brands! Most of the brands available for purchase are discounted and, with the help of our Member Consultants, you will be introduced to many products that may have even greater savings than what you are already using.
